When cornered by the evil Chorine, Sarah reacts by telepathically breaking Chorine's glass of wine. For the effect, practical red liquid was sprayed onto actress Joanna Garcia by the Special Effects Dept. as she held a broken glass stem with tracking markers.

Mechnology artists first painted out the crew and tracking markers, stitching multiple still frames of clean areas and tracking them into the shot.

Using the actual prop as reference, a CG wine glass was built and tracked to Chorine's hands. On-set lighting reference aided in the process. Finally, particle elements of glass shards and wine were added to complete the shot.
